We are devastated to announce that due to poor ticket sales, we have been forced to make the very difficult and upsetting decision to cancel Southbeats Festival.
It has been a challenging year for us in an ever-growing and competitive festival market, and unfortunately the number of tickets sold at this stage is not strong enough to deliver the standard of event that you, our loyal
Southbeats supporters, expect and deserve.
Although historically the majority of our ticket sales have come in the final few weeks, there is no indication to show that sales will increase enough to be able to cover the extremely high costs of producing and running an event of this size, and it is therefore no longer financially viable to continue.
We have put our hearts and souls into trying to make this event happen and we know this news will come as a
disappointment to many, but despite our best efforts,
this has proved too much of a mountain to climb.
In 2016, we set out with the goal to bring some of the world’s biggest live acts and DJs to our small corner of the country and give the people of Kent a dance music festival to be proud of. After welcoming nearly 35,000 of you through our gates over the past 3 years, we are
honoured to say that we achieved our goal and we want to thank you for all of your support.
We would like to apologise to all ticketholders, artists, suppliers, traders and partners for any disappointment and inconvenience this causes.
Please bear with us while we liaise with our ticketing agents and legal representatives over the next steps for ticket holders. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding and we will provide more information in due course.
